The first official statement from Huawei came after Google suspended Huawei’s Android license. The Chinese company announced that Huawei and Honor smartphones and tablets, which are already on the market, will continue to receive security updates and services.
Although this statement relieves tens of millions of Huawei users around the world, it is still unknown what will happen to the next generation Huawei phones. Huawei is already launching devices without access to Google Play Services in China, the world’s largest smartphone market, but these devices are unlikely to be accepted in the global market.
In its statement, Huawei said, “We will continue to build a safe and sustainable software ecosystem to provide the best experience for all Huawei users around the world.” He signaled that he would launch his own software solutions in response to the suspension of the Android license.
