Mac Models to be Updated with M2 Processor Appeared

Apple announced the M2 processor with its event on June 6 and launched the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M2 processors. While the company’s new M2 processor models are a matter of curiosity, Mark Gurman recently published an important report on the subject and revealed the Mac models that will be updated with the M2 processor.

Making some statements in the Power On news bulletin, Mark Gurman stated that Apple will soon appear before users with Mac devices that will be powered by M2, M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme processors. Gurman listed these devices as follows:

  • Mac Mini with M2 processor
  • Mac mini with M2 Pro processor
  • 14/16-inch MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors
  • Mac Pro with M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme processors

For now, it is not known when the Mac devices in question will be launched. However, according to Gurman’s statements, the mentioned models are expected to be announced by the beginning of 2023 at the latest.

Apart from this, Gurman also points out that Apple will not update the iMac and Mac Studio models with the second generation Apple Silicon series. As you may remember, Gurman, together with the report he published recently, iMac with M3 processor He stated that he was working on the model. This strengthened Apple’s claims that it would update its iMac and Mac Studio models directly with third-generation Apple Silicon series processors.
