Microsoft, the world’s largest software company, is the newest product of the Surface Hub series, designed with the all-in-one PC logic developed for use in environments where companies have a high level of cooperation such as conference rooms. Officially announced the Hub 2S. The Surface Hub 2S, which is claimed to be 60% thinner and 40% lighter than the original Surface Hub, has a 50-inch screen that can be called relatively smaller.
Surface Hub 2S’s 50-inch screen has 3:2 format and 3840×2160 pixels 4K+ resolution. At the heart of the device with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB solid state drive (SSD) is the 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor. With Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-C, Type-A, HDMI and DisplayPort support, the device supports hardware upgrade thanks to its modular structure.
With a 4K resolution camera with 90-degree viewing angle, Surface Hub 2S comes with a Surface Pen for digital note-taking and drawing processes. Equipped with eight far-field microphones and stereo speakers, the device has an accelerometer, gyroscope, plus a Doppler sensor to detect crowds in the environment. The product, which is made of machined aluminum and mineral composite, can also be supplied with a platinum coating.
It is possible to create conference meetings using Microsoft Teams and Skype on the Surface Hub 2S, which uses a special version of Windows 10 called Windows 10 Team. The device, on which standard Win32 applications cannot be opened, can also be used as a whiteboard. According to Microsoft’s statement, the price of the Microsoft Surface Hub 2S, which will provide great convenience at company meetings, will be $ 8,999 (TL 52,553).
