Microsoft Brings Single Sign-on System to Edge App

Microsoft has introduced new security measures to the Edge app on iOS and Android devices to protect corporate data while businesses distribute the Edge browser to employees. The software giant announced today that it has added support for conditional access and single sign-on system to Edge’s mobile app.

With conditional access, businesses will be able to provide restricted access for employees by enabling them to access web applications connected to Azure Active Directory only from the edge. This means that third-party browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, and Safari cannot be used to access these apps as part of Microsoft’s efforts to prevent corporate data leakage.

The single sign-on system will enable employees to log into Azure AD-connected applications without re-entering their credentials each time. The only requirement is the Microsoft Authenticator app on iOS or the Intune Company Portal app on Android. You can update your Edge app to have these features.
