Sensor Tower, a mobile application store market analysis company, announced the most downloaded applications on iOS and Android platforms as of 2019. Based on all platforms, WhatsApp continues to be the most downloaded application in the world, while TikTok’s leadership in iOS drew attention.
Based on all platforms, WhatsApp achieved over 223 million downloads in the first quarter of 2019, making it the most downloaded application. When we look at the iOS platform alone, TikTok managed to be the most downloaded application in the fifth quarter in a row with more than 33 million downloads.
In addition, when we look at all platforms, we see that Facebook applications have a great popularity. WhatsApp is the most downloaded app with 223 million downloads. Facebook Messenger ranks second with 209 million downloads. Although TikTok is in the third place, Facebook and Instagram are in the fourth place.
