Not so much 15 years ago, we preferred different ways to communicate with each other. People had to come together for us to talk lengthy matters. Smartphones didn’t exist yet when Facebook opened up to the world, succeeding more than a few previous attempts.

Drawing a new model in video sharing after purchasing YouTube, the company can reach billions of users thanks to its advertising revenue sharing model with content producers. More and more people are creating more content every day.

Although YouTube has become a video-based social media channel, it is still not a channel that most people use to communicate with their close circle. That’s what Google is aiming for. It offers the aim of reaching the whole world, not just a group of people who know or know you. Even the fact that the freedom of people to express themselves as they wish has been distorted in recent years does not change the fact that it is one of the most popular media.

Although Reddit does not have Turkish language support, it has 4% of the votes. Microsoft’s business network LinkedIn, on the other hand, was able to get only 1% of the votes to become the favourite, despite 7 million Turkish users. This detail leads us to the conclusion that LinkedIn is still perceived as a career center, not a social media platform.
